Dr Sng was voted by her peers as one of the "Top 100 Most Influential Ophthalmologists"(2024), "Top 100 Most Influential Ophthalmologists"(2023), "Top 100 Most Influential Ophthalmologists" (2022), "Top 100 Most Influential Female Ophthalmologists" (2021) and the "Top 50 Rising Stars" (2017) worldwide in the Global Ophthalmologist Power List. 

She has a stellar academic record, graduating from Cambridge University with triple First Class Honours and Distinctions. She was also the most outstanding candidate in her year for the Ophthalmology Specialist Accreditation Examination (Singapore), with Gold Medals conferred for being the best candidate in Glaucoma, Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Neuroophthalmology and Paediatric Ophthalmology. She is a pioneer of Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery in Asia and a co-inventor of the Paul Glaucoma Implant.
